Peace Lutheran Church is a congregation of Christ's baptized people who gather to receive power from God, to be nutured by his word, and to grow in faith and knowledge of God, in order to share God's gracious love with all people.

We invite you to worship with us Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:45. Adult Sunday School begins at 9:30, while Sunday School for preschoolers through high school age begins at 9:15. Childcare is provided throughout the morning. Refreshments and fellowship follow both services. See our Worship Schedule for a detailed list of times.

Pastor Richard Johnson Richard O. Johnson has been pastor at Peace since 1984. He is a 1975 graduate of Yale Divinity School, and has a PhD. in church history from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. In addition to blessing the congregation with his insightful and compassionate sermons, Pastor Dick also graces us with his teaching skills and musical gifts. Beyond his ministry at Peace, Pastor Johnson serves as an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary's extension program in Sacramento. He is also involved in a number of community groups in Nevada County. He and his wife Lois live in Alta Sierra, and have two grown children.
